Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) TB and Respiratory Medicine is a 3-year course of general practice covering the therapeutic, diagnostic, and preventive aspects related to tuberculosis and respiratory system disease. The module covers pulmonary medicine, critical care, infectious respiratory diseases, and chronic lung disease.
The programme prepares physicians to treat a variety of complex respiratory diseases, including tuberculosis, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), interstitial lung diseases, lung infections, occupational lung diseases, and respiratory failure. Attention is focused on clinical diagnosis, radiology, pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy, and evidence-based respiratory care.
