Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) is a 5 ½ year course in Ramakrishna Ayurvedic Medical College Hospital & Research Centre. The duration of the course includes a 1-year internship. The course covers an extensive investigation of current life structures, standards of the solution, physiology, social and preventive pharmaceuticals, toxicology, pharmacology, herbal science, a legal drug, ENT, standards of surgery. A graduate of this course are hired by both government and private Ayurveda clinics as Ayurvedic Drug Specialist or may pursue private practice.

Candidates should pass 12th Standard with HSC, PUC or A-Level or an equivalent examination should have obtained 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology(taken together) and should have passed English as one of the subjects. Candidates should have completed 17 years of age on 31 December of the year of admission.
