About Rani Channamma University (RCUB):

Rani Channamma University, Belagavi, was established in 2010 by the Government of Karnataka. The University was named after queen Rani Channamma who was the first woman freedom fighter in India. Rani Channamma University, Karnataka, is one of the largest University in the state, Belgaum, Vijayapura and Bagalkot fall under its jurisdiction. The university has a distinct academic profile because of its commitment to rural and urban development. The RCUB university focuses on inculcating ethical and cultural education. Rani Channamma University, Belagavi, is affiliated with 389 colleges, and 4 autonomous colleges and has approximately 1.35 lakh students enrolled. The institute has 21 postgraduate departments. The RCUB University offers diploma courses, certificate courses as well as PhD courses. 

RCUB has been recognized by the UGC which enables it to receive grants to facilitate the development of infrastructure and research.
