New Horizon Public School Academics:

The educational system of NHPS, Bangalore, is designed to combine the benefits of Montessori methods of teaching with other pedagogical methods, such as experiential learning. By doing so, the school aims to enable children to learn at their own pace and efficiently.

The curriculum under the educational system of NHPS is classified based on the divisions of study. At present, there are 4 divisions:

Primary Division:

The primary division at NHPS includes grades from Std I to Std V. At this stage, the approach taken by the school towards the academic aspects subtly changes from its preceding divisions. The activities inculcated for the grades under this division include discussion in pairs, group discussions and story-telling sessions aimed to develop and bring out the student’s language, interpersonal and innovative skills. Furthermore, students at this level of education are provided with an opportunity to access the school library services, wherein, they are exposed to abundant knowledge and to the world of computers, which can play a pivotal role in helping them become the masters of the modern world. 

One of the many distinct features of New Horizon Public School, Indiranagar, is the faculty’s commitment towards making classes interesting and inspiring, with a lot of care and concern, particularly through one-on-one interactions with the students. Thus, focusing on dynamic sessions rather than just monologues.  The learning curvature in this division includes taking children to different places of interest as part of extracurricular activities. The curriculum also includes a variety of activities such as painting, music, dance, dramatics and sports.

Secondary Division:

An interactive approach through group activities is emphasised in the secondary division at NHPS, which consists of grades from Std VI to Std X.  This division incorporates activities such as group discussions, where students are assigned specific projects to develop an investigative mindset. Classroom instruction in the secondary division extends beyond textbooks, as it covers discussions on current affairs as well. Additionally, the latest audio-visual presentations are employed to expand the general knowledge of students.

The management of NHPS strongly believes in the significance of discipline at this stage of a child’s life. Henceforth, the school has taken certain initiatives to groom etiquette in all forms of interactions. One of the initiatives includes frequent parent-teacher meetings, which are held to discuss the child’s life at NHPS and how both parents and teachers can contribute to the overall development of the child in every field.

Moreover, the school invites guest speakers to deliver engaging lectures. For example, scientists from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, were invited to speak about the habitats of insects and birds. The lecture was held to stimulate the student's curiosity and interest, thereby helping them become more conscious of their natural surroundings.

The admission process to pursue an education at New Horizon Public School, Bangalore, consists of both online and offline procedures. Parents can access the application form and start the registration process by visiting the official website of NHPS.

Steps to Register for Admissions at New Horizon Public School:

Step 1: Visit the official website of NHPS.

Step 2: On the Homepage, either click on ‘register for Admission’ or ‘click on the ‘Admission’ tab.

(Note: Parents who choose the ‘Register for Admission’ option can skip step 3)

Step 3: Scroll down and click on ‘Register Now.’

Step 4: Select the ‘class’ you wish your child to pursue.

Step 5: Enter the necessary details such as ‘Student Information’, ‘Parent Information’ Guardian information’ (optional), and other school-specific details and click on ‘Pay and Submit’.

Step 6: You will be redirected to a payment portal, where you will need to pay the registration fee.

(Note: The registration fee is Rs. 1,000/-)

Step 7: Download and take a printout of the fee payment details for future reference.

Note: Parents who wish to submit the completed registration form in person can do so by visiting the school’s reception.
