Course detail and Structure
Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Cardiac Care Technology is a 4-year full-time undergraduate course at Rajarajeswari Medical College and Hospital. During invasive cardiovascular testing, a cardiac technologist assists a physician. They perform tasks that require less medical training before and during a procedure so that the doctors can focus better on the results of the test. A cardiac technologist assist can do a variety of specialties such as invasive cardiology, vascular technology, echocardiography and non-invasive cardiology.

Candidates should pass 12th Standard with HSC, PUC, or A-Level or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and should have passed English as one of the subjects. The Candidate should have completed 17 years of age on 31 December of the year of admission.

With the help of variety of procedures and instruments, Cardiovascular Technicians diagnose and treat heart disease and vascular problems. At the entry-level, technicians perform electrocardiograms (EKGs), and may set up stress tests and Holter monitoring.
