Course detail and Structure
The syllabus for Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Structural Engineering is built for the duration of the course, split into four semesters. The subjects covered in the first year are Mechanics of Deformable Bodies, Advanced Design of RCC Structures, Advanced Mathematics, Design of Tall Structures, and Design concepts of Substructures. The third and fourth semesters of the second year is the project phase where the students are required to complete their internships and projects.

Candidates must have passed BE/ B.Tech in Civil Engineering/ Construction Technology & Management with not less than 50% marks ((45% for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates)) in aggregate of all the semesters/ years of the degree examination or passed the Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (AMIE) exam in the appropriate branch. They should have cleared the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) in Civil Engineering with qualifying marks.
