Prime Minister Modi Announces 75,000 New Medical Seats in Next 5 Years

On the occasion of the 78th Independence Day on August 15th, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the provision of 75,000 New Medical seats over the next five years.

The Honourable Prime Minister further stated that the decision was made to provide the youth with a chance to procure medical education in India as around 25,000 individuals travel abroad every year to pursue medical education despite a 1 lakh increase in the number of medical seats over the past decade in India.
