What is NEET SS? 

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Super Speciality or NEET SS exam is a national level exam conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) for super specialization medical courses.

NEET SS scores are accepted by 156 medical colleges and universities of the following types: 

  1. Private and Government Medical Colleges and Universities
  2. Deemed Universities
  3. Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) Institutions

Several colleges in Bangalore also accept NEET Super Speciality scores to grant admission to super specialty course aspirants. Candidates can check the requirement and seek admissions in Bangalore

NEET SS 2022 is to be conducted on September 1 and September 2, 2022. The registration process for the same will start from  July 15, 2022 (3 PM).

Aspirants for super specialty courses have to complete their postgraduate courses in their preferred medical field. 

Also, they should be registered with the National Medical Council or their respective State Medical Council.

NEET SS Registration: 

Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to register themselves for the exam: 

Step 1: Visit the official website of NBE. 
Step 2: Candidates have to click on NEET SS 2022. 
Step 3: They have to register by filling the registration form, following which they will get an application number and password. 
Step 4: Candidates can log in using their credentials and fill up the necessary details such as

This section will contain questions from the broader set of PG specializations that act as feeders for a particular specialization under the super specialty courses.

Candidates have to carry their NEET SS 2022 Admit Card, Government approved ID Card, and NMC or State Medical Council Registration certificate to the exam centre. 

NEET SS Results: 

NEET SS results can be downloaded by following the below-mentioned steps: 

Step 1: Visit the official website of NBE. 
Step 2: Candidates have to click on NEET SS 2022 Results. 
Step 3: They have to log in using their credentials. 
Step 4: Candidate's scorecard will be displayed on their screens. They can check their sectional scores, overall score, and rank. 

NBE shall also release a merit list in PDF format. There will be separate merit lists for each category. 

Candidates who get more than 45 percentile shall be eligible for the NEET SS counselling process. 

NEET SS Counselling: 

Candidates who shall clear the necessary cut-off for NEET SS will participate in the counselling process. 

The counselling process will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

- Candidates who have completed their postgraduate medical degree such as MD, MS, or DNB from a recognized medical institution can apply for the exam. Also, they need to register themselves with the NMC or the respective State Medical Council.

- NEET SS is conducted by the National Board of Examination (NBE) every year.

- Duration of NEET SS is 1.45 hours for a single specialization and 3.3 hours for 2 specializations.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates can answer NEET SS only if they:

  • Have completed their postgraduate courses such as MD, MS, or DNB from a recognized medical institution in India. 
  • Are pursuing their postgraduate course but are completing it before September 2022. 
  • Have registered themselves with the National Medical Commission or the State Medical Council.
