The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) is a national-level exam conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) every year.

Step 3: Click on the link to download the NEET MDS Admit Card. 
Step 4: Candidates have to log in using their User ID and Password. 
Step 5: The Admit Card will be displayed on their screen. Candidates should properly check the details on the Admit Card for any discrepancies. 
 Step 6: If there aren't any discrepancies, then candidates can download the Admit Card and save it for further processes. 

Affixing Recent Passport-size Photograph on the Admit Card: 

After downloading the Admit Card, candidates have to affix a recent passport-size photograph on their admit card. 

If the candidates fail to do this, they shall not be allowed to enter the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Master of Dental Surgery exam centre as their admit card will be considered invalid. 

Below are the specifications for the photograph that needs to be affixed:

  1. The dimension of the photograph should be 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm. 
  2. Candidates should ensure that at least 75% of the photo is covered with their face.
  3. The name of the candidates and the date of the photograph should be there at the bottom of the passport-size photograph. 
  4. The photograph should have a white or very light background. 
  5. The photograph should have a complete front view of the face, and the candidate must be looking directly into the camera. They must have a neutral expression in the photo. 
  6. Candidates shouldn't have any kind of reflection or shadow on the face. 
  7. The photograph should be printed on high-quality paper and must have a minimum resolution of 600 DPI. 

Candidates have to carry their Admit Card, along with a Government-approved ID card, to their respective NEET MDS exam centres. 

NEET MDS Results: 

Candidates can check their results by following the below-mentioned steps: 

Step 1: Visit the official website of NBE. 
Step 2: Click on NEET MDS. 
Step 3: Click on the link for NEET MDS Result. 
Step 4: The NEET MDS Result PDF shall be displayed on the screens of the candidates. 
Step 5: Candidates have to find their NEET MDS Roll Number in the list and check their result adjoining these details. The PDF of the results shall contain the NEET MDS Roll Number, Marks Scored, and All India Rank (AIR). 
Step 6: Candidates can download the PDF file for future reference.

NEET MDS Merit List:

NBE shall release the merit lists of NEET MDS for candidates who have cleared the required cut off. 

NBE shall release 3 kinds of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Master of Dental Surgery merit list for the students. 

Below are the 3 kinds of NEET MDS Merit List: 

  • NEET MDS Overall Merit List: The NEET MDS Overall Merit List shall contain the overall merit positions of all the candidates who have appeared for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Master of Dental Surgery Examination.
  • NEET MDS All India 50% Quota Merit List: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Master of Dental Surgery All India 50% Quota Merit List shall contain the overall merit positions of all the candidates who have appeared for the NEET MDS Examination and are eligible for the 50% All Indian Quota.
  • NEET MDS All India 50% Category Merit List: The NEET MDS All India 50% Category Merit List shall contain the merit positions of students who fall under the SC/ ST/ OBC category. 

NEET MDS Tie-Breaker Criteria:

It's a possibility that 2 or more candidates obtain the same marks in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Master of Dental Surgery. 

Such cases require tie-breaker criteria to decide on the merit position of the candidates. NBE has laid out a tie-breaker in case such a situation arises. 

Candidates should remember that these tie-breaker criteria are only applicable during the preparation of the merit list and not for any processes afterwards. 

Below is a detailed NEET MDS tie-breaker criteria:

1st Criteria: Candidates who have a fewer number of incorrect responses in their National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Master of Dental Surgery Answer Sheet will be placed at a higher merit position.

2nd Criteria: The merit position of candidates who have the same number of incorrect responses will be based on their sectional scores. Those with a higher score in any one of the sections will be placed higher. 

3rd Criteria: If the scores in both sections are identical, then the number of incorrect responses in each of the sections will be assessed. Candidates with a lower number of incorrect responses will be placed higher on the merit list. 

4th Criteria: On the failure of all the above criteria, candidates will be placed according to their age. They will be ranked in the descending order of their ages. 

NEET MDS Counselling Process: 

Eligible candidates from the merit list will be allowed to participate in the NEET MDS counselling process. 

Candidates have to register for the NEET MDS counselling process on the official website of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

The counselling process will be conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). 

NEET MDS counselling process will be conducted for the following institutions: 

  1. Deemed Universities
  2. Central Universities
  3. Armed Forces Medical Services
  4. Employee State Insurance Colleges (ESIC)
  5. 50% All India Quota Seats of Dental Colleges in India

NEET MDS counselling process for the All-India Quota Seats will be conducted in 2 Rounds, followed by an Open Round. 

Vacant seats after the All-India open counselling rounds will be transferred to the State Quota. 

NEET MDS Counselling Registration: 

Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to register for NEET MDS:

Step 2: Click on "PG Medical Counselling".
Step 3: Click on "New Registration" to proceed with the registration process.

Step 5: Candidates will get the login credentials for the NEET MDS registration process on their registered Mobile Number or Email ID.
