What is GPAT?

Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The exam is conducted once a year. 

GPAT 2022 scorecard is LIVE on its official website. Candidates can download and check their scores. 

Through GPAT, aspirants can aim for 24,000 seats in the Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) program in AICTE and PCI approved institutions.

NTA GPAT Registration:

Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to register for the GPAT exam 2022:

Step 1: Visit the official website of Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test.
Step 2: Fill in all the primary and mandatory fields, such as name, email ID, Phone number, and answer the security question.
Step 3: Candidates have to reconfirm their data and click on the submit button.
Step 4: Note down the system-generated application number, user ID, and password.

How to fill up the GPAT Application Form?

Step 1: Visit the official website of Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test 2022.
Step 2: Aspirants need to log in using their credentials such as email ID and password.
Step 3: After logging in, they need to click on the Application Form and add their personal and educational details.
Step 4:  Candidates have to select 4 preferred exam centers. They must review and confirm their choices and details before submitting the form.
Step 5: Aspirants need to upload their attested scanned copies of all the required educational and identification documents on the website.
Step 6: Review and confirm all the details and proceed to the payment of the application fees through debit/ credit card or Net banking.
Step 7: Aspirants must take a printout of the payment confirmation for future reference.

GPAT Results:

Results can be viewed by following the steps below:

Step 1: Go to the official website of the GPAT 2022 and click on the Tab for Scorecard.
Step 2: Log in using valid credentials such as email ID and password. 
Step 3: Results will be displayed on the screen. 
Step 4: View and print the results for future reference.

GPAT Cut offs:

GPAT cut offs will be released by the NTA on its official website. Candidates need to secure more than the cut-off to qualify in the exam.

GPAT Counselling:

Candidates have to secure the minimum percentage marks in NTA GPAT to participate in its counselling process. They will be able to seek admission to M.Pharm courses in around 800 colleges across India. 

  • Candidates have to comply with the selection procedure of their allotted Institute.
  • Final selection will be based on the candidate's Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test scores and performance in Group Discussion (GD) & Personal Interview (PI).

GPAT Scholarships:

Candidates can avail themselves scholarships through the National Testing Agency (NTA) or Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) for further research and study in the field of pharmacy.

Following are the rules and regulations of GPAT scholarship: 

  • NTA provides scholarships through the allotted M.Pharm institute. It is tenable for the period of pursuing the postgraduate program. 
  • CSIR provides scholarships that are tenable for the 5 year integrated course, i.e. M.Pharm- Ph.D from Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (ACSIR) or any other laboratory of CSIR. 

  • The fellowship amount through CSIR is Rs. 25,000/-. Those who have qualified for Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) are not eligible for fellowship. 


- Visit the official website of Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test 2022 and register.

- Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test will be conducted in the online mode.

- Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test is conducted for the Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) course.

- There is no age limit to apply for the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test.

- Candidates will be awarded 4 marks for every right answer and 1 mark will be dedicated for every wrong answer.

- National Testing Agency (NTA) has been conducting Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test since 2019. Till 2018, the exam was conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

- GPAT scores are accepted by over 800 Institutes across India.

- GPAT scores are valid for 3 years from the date of results.

- The application fee is as follows: 1) Rs. 2,000/- for male and Rs. 1,000/- for female in the unreserved category. 2) Rs. 1,000/- for male and female in the reserved category. 3) Rs. 1,000/- for transgender.

- Students with B.Tech (Pharmaceutical or Fine Chemical Technology) are exempted from answering the exam.
Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants have to meet the following GPAT eligibility criteria to apply for the exam:

  • Candidates must have graduated with a full-time degree in Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from a recognized university.
  • Aspirants appearing in the qualifying exam of their final year of B.Pharm are also eligible to write the exam. However, they must mandatorily submit their certificate of graduation while counselling.
  • The candidate must be an Indian citizen. 

  • There is no age restriction for GPAT exam eligibility.
  • Students with B.Tech (Pharmaceutical or Fine Chemical Technology) are exempted from answering the exam.
