Course detail and Structure

B.Sc in Anaesthesia and Operation Theatre Technology is a four-year undergraduate course including a one-year internship offered in Dhanwantari College of Allied Health Science. The course teaches all the skills involved in the fields of Anaesthesia and Operation Theatre Technology. The field of Anaesthesia usually deals with anaesthesia agents and anaesthesia equipment along with the techniques involved in the field. The students get to learn about the appropriate dosages required for a given condition. Operation Theatre Technology helps the students to understand the ethics involved in Operation Theatre. Students also get to learn about the machines and instruments involved in the operation theatre and the skills and knowledge required to handle them. As a result, students will gain all the skills and knowledge to assist the surgeons and nurses in carrying out the operation successfully. The course enables the students to meet the growing demands of the rapid growth in the fields of medical ethics, anaesthesia technology, operation theatre management, and postoperative care.
