Vittala International Institute of Ophthalmology

Vittala International Institute of Ophthalmology is a part of Sri Keshava trust (SKT) Bangalore based charitable trust. The college offers a B. Sc. in Optometry programme. There are residency and fellowship programs in Ophthalmology as well. This is a 3-year career-oriented program with 1 year of internship. Students will learn from the best faculty. Their key aim is to produce the best of the best Ophthalmic professionals. The course offered is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka and recognised by Government of Karnataka. These students will be studying primarily on visual systems. This program covers diagnosis and diseases of the visual system which includes “Primary Eye Care Science” and the topics covered Contact Lens, Orthoptics, Human Eye and the fitting, manufacturing, and supply of optical aids. The optometry field is one of the booming industries in India and Abroad. India requires a minimum of 5000 of Optometry qualified students who include urban & rural areas.
