JSS Academy of Technical Education

JSS Academy of Technical Education (JSSATE) was established in 1997 at Bangalore and is under the umbrella of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysore. The college is a result of the vision of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji participated proactively in establishing a world-class institution for technical education. The campus is located on a sprawling 21.17 acres of land and is surrounded by lush green plantations on the south-western edge of Bangalore City. The institution is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum, India. JSS Academy of Technical Education is recognised as one among the finest Institutions providing engineering and management education empowered with research, innovation and entrepreneurship. JSS Academy of Technical Education has seven undergraduate and four postgraduate programmes in engineering along with a post-graduate program in Business Administration. All the Departments have been recognized as “research Centres” from VTU, Belagavi. More than 120 candidates are pursuing research programs at JSSATE, Bangalore. The college has enrolled over 2850 students since its inception and is regarded as one of the finest technical institutions of higher learning.

The college has been known as a centre of excellence. Many leaders of organizations, companies, researchers, professors have been alumni of JSS Academy. Apart from imparting excellent education, the college is known for striving towards excellence in the teaching-learning process and offers to nurture personality development of each and every student on campus.It is recognised as an excellent academy that continuously encourages research, innovation & entrepreneurship which are essential qualities apart from academics for industry-ready students who will face a rapidly changing world.The college is known to train and uphold the highest ethical standards in all activities and provide excellent facilities to its students.

Infrastructure: JSS Academy of Technical Education has an excellent infrastructure with state-of-the-art equipment and machinery as laboratory facilities. The college has spacious classrooms and laboratories. The whole building is networked and has a centralized browsing facility with 120 Mbps dedicated internet facility.  The entire college has a Wi-Fi facility.

Faculty:  The college has highly qualified faculty. Consequently, it has initiated a number of multidisciplinary and multi-institutional R&D programs with AICTE, DST and other Departments. Under the R&D activity, the college has taken up the design and fabrication of biodiesel plants in collaboration with industry and it is sponsored by the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India. This was recognized as one of the best-completed projects and the same is being replicated in different states.

Library: The college has a centralized library with an open access facility for students.  The Institute Digital library has online access to international journals. Book bank facility is available for students. It is a veritable feast of knowledge and is available to students, faculty and researchers. Housed in 2 floors with 2100-sq.mts.carpet area. It has a separate periodical section, a reference section, digital library, MBA Section, Audio/Visual room, etc.

Hostel: The college offers hostels to students. It has separate hostels for boys and girls. The rooms are large, bright and neat. Running water facilities are available and food is provided for. Apart from all this, students can relax and rejuvenate and play sports on the sprawling good sports complex

Transport: JSS Academy of Technical Education provides faculty and students with bus services from all parts of the city to the Institute.  The buses are comfortable, safe and economical, being subsidized by the Institute.
