Aruna College of Nursing was established in 1996, with a mission to prepare students with a wide and strong base for future success and contribution to the world. Students are molded in discipline, positive attitude, leadership qualities, new vision, and ambition.
Students of the Institution are given training in Aruna and Ashwini Hospitals, District Government Hospital, and Cadabams Psychiatric Hospital. So far more than 5000 students have passed out of our institution with good colors and are spread over various parts of the world.
Aruna College of Nursing is recognised by the Indian Nursing Council and Karnataka Nursing Council and is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.

Aruna College of Nursing offers all amenities under one roof: classrooms equipped with the latest technology, a fully-stocked nursing arts laboratory, a modern chemistry laboratory, a learning resource center, faculty rooms, quiet study areas, a student lounge, and a conference room. The facilities create a caring, comfortable atmosphere which is conducive to the development of students and faculty. The institution has created an environment that enables students to make the transition from learning to pass a test to acquiring skills and knowledge. This enables students to critically think about how best to care for the clients, their families, and the community at large. Aruna College of Nursing is recognised by Indian Nursing Council and Karnataka Nursing Council, and is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
The library is housed in a spacious area of 2000sq ft. with reference section, magazine section and stack area. Presently it stacks more than 3000 books and reference volumes for lending to faculty and students. The library subscribes to more than 25 specialized journals, over one third of them being international.
Prospective students go on to become Nurse Midwives, Nurse Anesthetists, Nurse Case Managers, Nurse Educators, Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Researchers.
