S-VYASA Yoga University Admission Process:

Below mentioned are the university admission procedure:

  • Candidates applying for any of the courses at the university (apart from MBA) are required to complete the Yoga Instructor Course (YIC) mandatorily.

Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana University (VYASA) is a registered charitable institution established in 1986. It strives to make Yoga a socially relevant science.

Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana University, Bangalore, envisions combining the best of East (Yoga and Spiritual) with the West (Modern Scientific Research). The institute offers both Long-Term and Short-Term courses on Yoga and its allied subjects.   

S-VYASA, Bangalore, gained its Deemed-to-be-University status in 2002 under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. It is a unique Yoga University translating the vision and teachings of Swami Vivekananda to action through Higher Education academic programs.

The University has been recognized as a “Centre of Excellence in Yoga” by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. It has an Advanced Centre for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy sponsored by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). 

S-VYASA is the only Yoga University offering multiple courses in Yoga. Students go through Life training and Character-Building education with Yoga as a way of life. It follows the Gurukula way of schooling combined with a modern scientific approach and ensures that students get practical experience with in-depth research.

Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana University, Bangalore campus is situated 30 km away from the centre of Bangalore. The name of the university campus is Prashanti Kutiram meaning the “Abode of Peace”.

The university is located amidst greenery in a sprawling campus spread over 100 acres. The campus is around 14 km away from the picturesque Bannerghatta National Park. 

The university also has a Yoga Therapy Research Health Home called Arogyadhama. In addition to that, the university has a 250-bed naturopathy hospital for inpatient treatment.

S-VYASA University, Bangalore Admissions:

S-VYASA admission procedures for all of its courses are as follows:     

  • Candidates wishing to pursue any program (except MBA) at the university must have completed Yoga Instructor Course (YIC).
  • Candidates joining any program (except BNYS) have to appear for the Entrance exam conducted by the institute.
  • The mode of S-VYASA course fee (registration) payment will be online.
  • The Fee for the University Entrance Exam is Rs. 1,000 for Indian and SAARC Nation candidates and 30 USD for Other Foreign Nation Candidates. 
  • Candidates applying for more than one program must submit separate application forms.
  • Students appearing for final year exams can also apply.
  • Ph.D. candidates have to appear for a Written Test followed by an Interview Round. 
  • Ph.D. students will be selected based on the National Entrance Test conducted by S-VYASA (Deemed-to-be-University). 
  • Students passing the National Eligibility Test (NET) in Yoga need not attend the entrance test.
  • The validity pass of the Ph.D. entrance exam is valid for one academic year only.

Note: The entrance exam registration fee is non-refundable.

S-VYASA has multiple channels providing financial support for meritorious and needy candidates. Following are the 3 kinds of scholarships/ financial aid offered by the university:

The Training and Placement Office at S-VYASA ensures opportunities for all eligible students to take an active part in the university placement process.

The university considers the placement being crucial and extends its support to assure that the eligible students shall be provided with the right opportunity to pursue the career of their interest.   

The placement cell continuously endeavours to bring the best placement results and continues to be the most favoured destination for recruiting organizations.

Eligibility and Registration:

  • The final-year candidates of S-VYASA University, Bangalore, are eligible to participate in the recruitment process for placement through the Training and Placement Cell (T&P).
  • Candidates from earlier batches are also permitted with special permission as per the Deferred Placement Policy in the recruitment process.

Placement Application Rule:

  • Visiting companies must apply only through the online system of the university Training and Placement Cell. A candidate can apply for not more than 25 companies before January 1st of every year.
  • If any candidate’s attendance falls below 75%, he/ she shall not be allowed for further process. It is mandatory for the candidates to have minimum attendance while applying for the placements.  
  • Students are solely responsible for their attendance during any activity. They are advised to check the company profile and background thoroughly before applying.

Placement Procedure:

  • Companies interested in participating in the placement and training procedure must contact the placement officer for a Job Notification Form (JNF).
  • Once the JNF is filled by the companies, they will be assigned a Username and Password to access their account on the T&P website.
  • The companies are also assigned space on the server to upload their presentation, videos, data, etc.
  • After the application deadline, the candidate’s resumes are visible to the company, which they shortlist on its online account before the deadline.
  • Candidates will be notified by the company once shortlisted.
  • The placement office allots the dates for the campus interviews.
  • After completion of the selection procedure, the company shall announce the final selected candidate’s list.
  • If a candidate is placed with a company, then he/ she won’t be able to appear for more placement interviews.

I had a great experience at s-vyasa studying B.Sc Yoga Therapy. The university has the best infrastructure like library, laboratory, herb garden and so many other things. It gave me placements opportunities too.
