Overview:

People's Education Society University, also known as PES University, was established in the year 1972 as PES Institute of Technology. It was renamed in 2013 when it attained university status by the Government of Karnataka. The University is situated in Bangalore and is one of the country’s top destinations for leading teaching and research. 

PESU is managed by the People's Education Society (PES) that was founded in 1972 in Bengaluru with around 40 students. Today, the university campus is sprawled over 25 acres of lush green environment. The university currently manages over 45 educational programs in Karnataka and other neighbouring states, including Andhra Pradesh, with more than 15,000 students.

PES University Hostel Facilities:

PES University offers one of the best accommodation or residential facilities for students away from home. 

The facility is applicable for students taking admission to the program at PES University RR Campus and PES Hanumanth Nagar Campus only.   

The hostel or the accommodation facilities offered by the University have comfortable ventilated rooms, security arrangements for the students, medical or doctor-on-call service for sick or medical attention needed students, and many other facilities.   

Hostel Tips at a Glance:

1. Candidates are advised to contact the Hostel office.
2. Freshers who want to get admission for UG/ PG/ PU/ Diploma/ PhD programs must visit the rooms in the Blocks ear-marked.
3. Senior year will allow the freshers to specialize in an area of interest by pairing topics with electives and choosing.
4. If the candidates are satisfied and are desired to seek PES Hostel accommodation, may go ahead with the hostel admission procedure.

PES University Hostel Admission Procedure in Detail:

1. Introduction of the Local Guardian (LG). The LG must be more than 35 years old and must have a proper identification that has to be introduced to the warden or the assistant manager.
2. After the approval by the hostel warden, the candidates must register and attend the briefing session along with parents, students, and the guardian.
3. The students must also submit the duly filled hostel application form with all the required enclosures and documents.
4. After all the necessary procedures, the candidates must pay hostel fees through DD drawn in favour of PES University Hostel. An acknowledgement will be given, confirming the provisional admission to the hostel. 

Sports Facilities:

PES University has various sports facilities from cricket to basketball, athletics to yoga, etc. The students can stay fit in any way they choose. The university facilitates the students to allow them to have their skills. The PES sports teams have won much acclaim for their performance in various tournaments. 

Tech Activities:

Under this activity the students can get a chance to participate in the process of discussing ideas, developing them into research concepts and workable products. The students can consider this experience as a turning point in their careers.

Social responsibility activities include the adoption of Government Schools, Blind School, Environmental Awareness, Blood Donation Camps, Medical Camps in villages, Social Initiatives, Foster Homes, HIV Centres, Teaching Slum Kids, Voting Awareness and Organizing Samarpana to honour the soldiers.
