NEET PG 2021 to be Delayed Further, Government Plans to Bring Medical Graduates for COVID-19 Duty

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that NEET PG 2021 will be delayed by at least 4 months. The Government of India is planning to utilize graduated medical and nursing students for COVID-19 duty.
On May 2nd, 2021 (Sunday), Narendra Modi had reviewed multiple measures to augment human resources for managing the prevailing pandemic situation effectively.
The government may take up the option to ask the medical and nursing candidates preparing for the NEET PG 2021 to join the pandemic duty. The official announcement from the government is likely to be made on May 3rd, 2021 (Monday).
The major decisions to be included by the government are:
- NEET PG 2021 will be delayed until further notice.
- The NEET PG aspirants will be requested to join the COVID-19 duty.
- The Government may also announce the criteria for financial incentives.
PM Modi chaired a meeting on May 2nd, 2021 (Sunday), as there was a high rise in COVID-19 cases across the country.
