MBA in IITs: Admission offered based on CAT Score

The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) have started the application process for their MBA programs based on the Common Admission Test (CAT) scores. The admission process will be the same as that of the renowned Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs).
Following are the 8 IITs that are offering admissions to their MBA programs:
- IIT Bombay
- IIT Delhi
- IIT Kharagpur
- IIT Madras
- IIT Roorkee
- IIT Kanpur
- IIT Dhanbad
- IIT Jodhpur
Candidates have to apply for each institute individually. The application process for the programs has already started and will end on January 31st, 2021. The selection process of the shortlisted candidates may vary for different IITs but the programs offered are independent of those offered by the IIMs.
CAT 2020 saw 9 candidates scoring a 100 percentile. Most of them are from the engineering background. While 7 candidates are from the engineering and technology background, 1 each are from Mathematics and Management background, respectively. 5 of the 7 candidates from engineering and technology background are IITians.
As many as 19 candidates have scored 99.99 percentile in CAT 2020. 16 of these 19 candidates are from engineering and technology backgrounds. CAT 2020 saw a total of 1,90,144 appearing for the examination.
