Karnataka is soon re-opening all the Degree and Professional colleges, which were closed during the lockdown. This action has been taken after five months since the lockdown and the State Government is still waiting for guidelines from the Central Government before taking any further decision.

Till now, some of the colleges were completely shut down and some were taking online classes, but from October 1st onwards, the gates of the colleges will reopen. This has been implemented only after taking various precautions and steps in mind.

There were a lot of talks that the education system of Karnataka will see a digital transformation. Universities were supposed to follow a 6-day week schedule, wherein all the classes will be held online through video conferencing facilities. The content will be in digital format. Hence, the state government is yet to receive a response from the Central Government.

The exams for the final year undergraduate, engineering and diploma students will be scheduled soon by the Central Government, as stated by MR Ashwath Narayan.
