COA declares NATA 2020 Exam to be conducted online

The Council of Architecture (COA) has declared that the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) will be conducted online due to the on-going coronavirus pandemic. The council said that the decision was taken keeping in mind the surging number of coronavirus cases in the country. Part A: the drawing test and Part B: test on Scientific Ability & General Aptitude, both will be conducted online. The council has also announced August 29th as the date of the first exam.
Keeping in mind the internet connectivity issue which might be faced by a large section of the population, COA said that it will be arranging test centres. Students that don't have electronic devices, internet connectivity or facing any such issue, can come to these centres and appear for their exam. The others can participate in the exam from their residence.
The Council also mentioned that the syllabus of the examination is revised. Part A syllabus includes visual principles in a composition, balance, rhythm, hierarchy, direction etcetera. It will also involve things like solving puzzles and understanding geometry.
