What is the RIE CEE Exam?
Regional Institute of Education Common Entrance Examination (RIE CEE) is conducted by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) every year.
The exam is conducted for the following courses:
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) + Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) (4 Years Integrated)
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) + Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) (4 Years Integrated)
- Master of Science (M.Sc) + Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) (6 Years Integrated)
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) (2 Years)
- Master of Education (M.Ed) (2 Years)
RIE CEE score is accepted for admission to the following institutions:

RIE CEE Application Form:
Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps for RIE CEE admission 2022:
Initial Registration:
Step 1: Visit the official website of the Regional Institute of Education Common Entrance Examination.
Step 2: Click on "Registration Form" on the homepage.
Step 3: Candidate must register through a valid Email ID and Mobile Number.
Step 4: They will receive a One Time Password (OTP) and user credentials on their registered mobile number for the further application process.
How to fill up the RIE CEE Exam Form?
Step 1: Visit the official website of NCERT CEE 2022.
Step 2: Aspirants need to log in using the credentials sent on their registered mobile number.
Step 3: Registration number and username will be displayed on the applicant's index page after logging In.
Step 4: Students must read all the instructions and proceed to the next step of filling in all the primary details.
Step 5: Candidates will be redirected to a new page where they must select three exam centres of their choice and apply for their program. They can choose more than one program based on their eligibility.
Step 6: They must recheck the entered data, hit on "Ok" and then "Submit".
Step 7: Aspirants must upload all the required scanned documents as per the specifications.
Step 8: Review and confirm all the details and proceed to pay the application fees through Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking.
Step 9: Candidates must take a printout of the same for future reference.
Note: Applicants appearing for their Class 12th or equivalent examination in 2022 must log in later to update their qualifying exam.

The merit list is prepared by considering 60% of the exam score and 40% of the aggregate scores of the qualifying program.

Admissions in RIE CEE Colleges:
There is no centralized admission/ counselling process for the RIE CEE exam. Candidates who qualify for the exam by matching the RIE CEE cut off can take part in the selection process carried out by the respective institute.

FAQs
- RIE CEE Exam is conducted by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).
- The eligibility criteria for the courses offered under the RIE CEE exam is different for each course. Candidates should check the eligibility for their preferred program and appear for the exam.
- The marking scheme for the RIE CEE exam is +2 for every right answer and -0.5 for every wrong answer.
- The exam is conducted for admissions in B.Sc+B.Ed (4 Years Integrated), BA+B.Ed (4 Years Integrated), M.Sc+B.Ed (6 Years Integrated), B.Ed (2 Years) and M.Ed (2 Years) programs.
- The intake at Karnataka is 24.19% of the total applicants for the academic year 2022-23. They will admit 20 candidates for B.Sc+B.Ed, 10 for BA+B.Ed and 13 in the B.Ed program from Karnataka.
- Students who are blind or have a low vision with more than 40% disability can use the services of a scribe for writing the exam. They will get a compensatory time of 40 mins for the exam.
- The question type for the exam is Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) for all the groups.
- The tie cases will be decided based on the scores of the teaching aptitude. If the tie continues, age is considered as the final criteria.
- All the RIEs will provide 1 seat for each course in B.Sc+B.Ed and BA+B.Ed. RIE Mysuru will also accept 1 candidate for each course of M.Sc+B.Ed (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics). The NTSE awardees will be offered a seat over and above their regular quota.
- The counselling and admission process will be done at the respective RIEs. Candidates must check the official website of the concerned RIE for admissions.
