What is NATA?

National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the Council of Architecture (CoA) twice a year. The exam allows candidates to pursue B.Arch courses in NATA colleges. 

The exam is conducted in 2 sessions and they can appear for either one or both the sessions. The best score will be valid for NATA admission to top colleges in India. 

Candidates can pursue B.Arch from top colleges in Bangalore to hone their skills. They can check out the respective cut offs and seek admissions in Bangalore

Aspirants applying for the exam should have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics as core subjects with a minimum aggregate score of 50% from a recognized board.

NATA Registration 2022:

Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps for NATA registration 2022:

Basic NATA Registration:

Step 1: Visit the official website of National Aptitude Test in Architecture.
Step 2: Click on "NATA Registration" and hit the sign-up button.
Step 3: Enter all the required information in the form.
Step 4: Choose a password, answer the security question and enter the security code.
Step 5: Confirm all the entered data and click on "Sign Up".

Candidates will receive an email with their login credentials and application number.  

How to fill up the NATA Exam Form?

Step 1: Visit the official website of National Aptitude Test in Architecture.
Step 2: Click on "NATA- REGISTRATION."
Step 3: Aspirants need to log in using their credentials.
Step 4: After logging in, they need to confirm their details and add all the required educational specifications. 
Step 5: They must also choose three mandatory exam centres from the list of cities. 
Step 6: Aspirants need to upload the required scanned documents. 
Step 7: Review and confirm all the details and proceed to pay the application fees. 
Step 8: Follow the online instructions to complete the payment process. After successful completion of the payment, the website will redirect to the "Confirmation Page."
Step 9: Aspirants must take a printout of the same for future reference to complete the NATA registration process.

NATA Cut Offs:

Candidates need to secure 75 out of 200 marks to qualify for the National Aptitude Test in Architecture exam. There is no relaxation in the NATA qualifying marks for reserved categories.

Each participating institution has a different cut off. Candidates must check with their desired institute for the cut off.

Admissions in NATA Colleges:

Candidates who have qualified by securing the minimum percentage marks in the NATA entrance exam can take part in the admission process carried out by the respective architecture colleges. 

Candidates have to apply with their scorecards to various institutions approved by the Council of Architecture. They shall be called for further rounds based on their NATA score.

- Aspirants should have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics as core subjects from a recognized board.

- The exam is a Computer-Based Test (CBT).

- The exam is conducted for admissions in B.Arch. program across the country. The duration of the course is 5 years.

- Yes. Within 3 days of the NATA results declaration, candidates can request for re-evaluation by filling the online form on the National Aptitude Test in Architecture website and making a payment of Rs 3,000.00. No requests are accepted after 3 days from the date of the results.

- Candidates will be awarded 1, 2, or 3 marks for every right answer, based on the question and section. There will be no negative marking.

- The types of questions for the exam are Multiple-Choice Types (MCQ), Multiple Select Types (MSQ), Preferential Choice Types (PCQ), and Numerical Answer Types (NAQ)

- No, the drawing test will not be conducted.

- Candidates must carry the admit card and an original ID card approved by the GOI like Aadhar, Passport, Driving License, or Voter ID. Anything apart from these two documents will not be allowed. The centre will provide the students with paper for rough work.

- Yes, you can modify the information provided in the application form. CoA opens a correction window for 10 days before the registration process ends.

- The scores of the exam are valid only for the admissions in that particular academic year.
Eligibility Criteria

The aspirants have to meet the following eligibility criteria for admission: 

  • Aspirants applying for the exam should have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics as core subjects from a recognized board.
  • Candidates appearing for 10+2 or 10+3 qualifying examinations in the current year are also provisionally eligible to appear for NATA.
