Indian Institute of Foreign Trade or IIFT is an entrance exam conducted by the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade for the management courses.
IIFT has 3 campuses in the following cities:
- Delhi
- Kolkata
- Kolkata
Every year, around 50,000 candidates appear for the exam. Both Indians and foreign candidates can take the exam to pursue MBA in International Business in any of the IIFT campuses.

IIFT 2022 is scheduled to be conducted in December 18, 2022. Registration for the same can begin from the October 1, 2022 and conclude on the November 24, 2022.
Admit cards for the same will be released in December 2022. Aspirants have to complete their graduation in their preferred field to answer this exam.

Below are the steps to register for IIFT:
Step 1: Visit the official website of IIFT.
Step 2: Click on the tab for "Apply for IIFT 2022".
Step 3: Candidates should click on the link for "New Registration".
Step 4: They will be redirected to an information bulletin page, which they have to go through and check on the box towards the end.
Step 5: After checking on the box, candidates have to click on the tab- "Click here to Proceed".
Step 6: Candidates have to provide the following information for the registration process:
- Personal Details
- Present Address and Permanent Address
- Password
- Security Pin
Step 7: Candidates will be sent an Application Number on the Mobile Number and Email ID provided by them.
How to fill the IIFT 2022 Application Form?
Step 1: Visit the official website of IIFT.
Step 2: Click on the tab- "Apply for IIFT 2022".
Step 3: Candidates have to login using their credentials.
Step 4: Candidates will be redirected to the IIFT Application Form, wherein they have to submit the necessary details.
Step 5: After that, they have to upload the necessary documents for the process.
Step 6: Candidates should go through the application form and check for any discrepancies before paying the IIFT fees and submit the form.

Sometimes, mistakes are inevitable, and therefore, the IIFT exam authorities provide a correction window period for the candidates to correct their errors.

How to challenge the IIFT Answer Key?
Candidates can challenge the IIFT answer key by following the below-mentioned steps:
Step 1: Visit the official website of NTA
Step 2: Click on the link of "Challenge Answer Key"
Step 3: Candidates have to login using their credentials.
Step 4: The answer key will be displayed on their screens and if they want to challenge the answer, they can select one or more Options by ticking on the checkboxes beside them.
Step 5: After selecting your desired options, they can click on the "Save your Claim" button and then click on the Next tab.
Step 6: Candidates have to upload a supporting document by clicking on the "Choose File" option.
Step 7: After uploading the document, click on the option of "Save your Claim and Pay the Fee".
Step 8: The screen will display all the challenges made by the candidate.
Step 9: Candidates need to pay Rs. 1000 for every question challenged.
Step 10: If the challenge is found to be correct, then the processing fee for that challenge will be refunded to the candidate
IIFT Results:
Candidates can check their results by following the steps given below:
Step 1: Candidates have to visit the official website of IIFT.
Step 2: They have to click on the link for results.
Step 3: Candidates need to login using the Application Number and Password.
Step 4: IIFT Scorecard of the candidate will be displayed on the screen.
Step 5: Download the scorecard and take a printout for future reference.
IIFT Cutoff:
The IIFT cutoff is decided by the authorities to shortlist the candidates for admission. It helps the authorities to shortlist the candidates for the further selection procedure.
The authorities release three types of cutoff marks. They are:
- Category cutoffs
- Section-wise cutoffs
- Campus-wise cutoffs
The following factors determine the IIFT cutoff:
- Total number of seats available
- Total number of candidates who appeared for the examination
- The overall difficulty level of the question paper
IIFT Further Admission Process:
Candidates who meet the cut off of the examination are invited for the further admission process. The further admissions process consists of the following process:
1) Group Discussion (GD):
Group discussion is a process in which candidates will be divided into groups. They shall be given a topic to discuss.
Candidates will be marked on the following factors:
- Communication Skills
- Team Skills
- Negotiation Skills
- Leadership
2) Written Ability Test (WAT):
For the Written Ability Test, candidates will be given a relevant topic to write. Sometimes the topic can be the same as the one shown in the GD.
Candidates will be marked in WAT based on the following factors:
- Language Skills
- Vocabulary
- Grammatical Skills
3) Personal Interview (PI):
Personal Interview is one of the most important of the final selection process for all colleges. Candidates will face a panel of 2 to 4 persons consisting of college professors and alumnus.
Candidates will be judged in the PI based on:
- Overall personality
- Confidence
- General awareness
- Communication skills
- Clarity of ideas
Candidates are selected based on scaled score of the exams and the further admission processes.

- No, calculators are not allowed inside the examination hall.
- No, work experience is not a prerequisite to apply for IIFT exam.
- No, there is no maximum number of attempts for IIFT examination.
- Candidates must select an exam city or centre for both the exam and further admission process.
- IIFT entrance exam lasts for a period of 120 minutes.
- IIFT exam consists of 4 sections.
