Nurses are typically responsible for recording and interpreting patient information, performing physical examinations, administering medications, and diagnosing/treating minor afflictions. CNAs and LPNs are considered allied health professionals due to their limited educational scope and abilities. RNs and APRNs, on the other hand, are considered medical professionals because of their thorough, rigorous training and degrees.
M.Sc. Nursing Specialisations include: Medical and Surgical Nursing, Gynaecology and Obstetrics Nursing, Neuroscience and Mental Health Nursing, Critical Care Nursing, Oncological Nursing, Neonatal Infant and Newborn Nursing and Nephrological Nursing.
A degree in nursing gives you a range of professional and technical skills, including the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and to support and advise patients and their families. You also develop the ability to assess, analyse, monitor and evaluate the care you deliver.
The library has 39,000+ books collections, 300+ subscribed print journals (national and international) and e-resources including full text and the bibliographical online database for health & allied science and other various subjects. The library is fully automated, and Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) provides a search window to the library collection.
