Sree Siddhartha Medical College (SSMC) was started in the year 1988 by Sree Siddhartha Educational Society (SSES). The Medical College and the hospital is located on the outskirts of Tumkur city – 6 km from the city amidst greenfield in a vast campus of 220 acres on the side of Bangalore – Honnavar national highway and is just 76 Km from Bangalore city connected by road and railway. Sri Siddhartha College of Nursing, Tumkur aims to provide all the required infrastructure and facilities to bring out all-round development of Nursing students. It strongly condemns all kinds of inhuman activities through the establishment of security measures. The institution provides health services at an affordable cost to the needs of the society and provides adequate learning materials to the Nursing students. Sri Siddhartha College of Nursing is approved by Indian Nursing Council (INC). The institution is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science, Karnataka.

Each department is provided with fully furnished demonstration halls with audio visual facilities. Practical laboratories for students learning are available as per MCI requirement with necessary infrastructure in labs. A central library provides accommodation for a Reference library, PG Library, Teaching staff Library, and a digital library for the convenience of easy access to study materials and journals. Adequate hostel facilities are also provided for UG and PG Nursing students for boys and girls separately during their tenure of study.
