About

Established in 1986, the National Law School of India University provides as a centre for legal education in Karnataka that reformed how the colleges provide legal studies to the students. The university has a campus of its own which is located in Nagarbhavi, Bangalore. 

It is a residential university that provides residential facilities to their students and faculty members. The library facility of the university was inaugurated in August 2005 with a huge stock of books related to legal studies for the students. 

 

The university has undertaken a lot of research projects that are funded by the University Grant Commission, Government of India, Department of Women and Child Development, the United Nations, Government of Karnataka, World Bank, etc. It has an exchange programme with the National University of Singapore, York University, and many more.
