Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) (Deemed-to-be) University is a private university with three campuses in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka. The university started with its engineering college in 1980. 

The university offers UG, PG, and doctoral degrees in engineering, management, and science. The university accepts Kar CET/COMEDK scores for admissions to B.Tech courses followed by scores in GAT (UGTP). For all M.Tech courses, admission is through GAT (PGTA) entrance test.  

The university prides itself on having several top tier IT firms visiting the campus for recruitments. Its students have been responsible for starting over 35 startups. The university has five UG engineering courses and a couple of PG courses.
