DEPARTMENT OF SPEECH PATHOLOGY AND AUDIOLOGY, Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education

Sri Devaraj Urs Educational Trust was established with the focus on the provisioning of Medical Education and Social Services. The trust started Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College at Tamaka, Kolar, in 1986. Through this college, the trust sought to make a significant contribution to Medical Education, Research, and Health Care to the rural population. The college is located 5 km away from Kolar, Karnataka. The establishments of the university and the constituent institution are located at Tamaka village, Kolar with several buildings to accommodate the medical college, administrative offices, teaching/training facilities, hospitals, and hostels. The college has been recognized by the Medical Council of India, which includes all the courses being offered in the college. The college has also been recognized by the Malaysian Medical Council from the academic year 2009-10.

SDUAHER is a vibrant campus both academically and culturally with added residential amenities. Hostel facilities, food courts, sports and fitness centres, modern classrooms, libraries, and student counseling centers are designed to assist the students throughout their learning journey. The students in the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology complete a range of practical experiences. The institution also provides outpatient service delivery programs for audiology, deaf education, and speech-language pathology. SDUAHER implements effective innovative programs in teaching and undertakes need-based activities for the betterment of society.
