About
The Army Institute of Fashion & Design (AIFD) was established in 2004 by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES). The aim of this college is to provide excellent technical and professional education in the Fashion and Apparel Industry. They provide the education related to Garments, Textiles, Fashion Designing and Fashion Technology. They develop their students’ skill set as per the industrial requirement. They provide research & development work in the area of Fashion and Textiles.
They conduct the Written Admission Test (WAT) for the applicants every year to grant admission to this Institute. The main vision is to provide quality education for these students to shape their career through innovation, creativity and advanced skill sets in the Fashion Industry.

Library: The Library is filled with several books & Journals covering Fashion, Textiles, Apparel, Computers & Management. Apart from these books Newspaper, Fashion Magazines are also available in English & Local Languages.
Hostel: A separate hostel facility is available for Girls and Boys from the college. Girls hostel is inside the college campus and Boys hostel is outside the college campus.
Labs: The labs are equipped with well-maintained machines. CAD Lab, Basic and Advanced Sewing lab, Quality control lab, Dyeing and Finishing lab, IT lab, Fashion Photography labs are provided by the college.
Resource Centre: There is a resource center provided by the college for the students on Various Fabrics, Accessories, Industry-required information, and Material Display.
