Zambia, officially the Republic of Zambia, is a landlocked country in Southern Africa. The capital city is Lusaka. There are 7 official languages. English is the language of government. Christianity is practised as the official religion but Muslims and Hindus are also seen in the country. Beautiful Landscapes, the famous Victoria Falls, the wild Zambezi River, pulsating wilderness all you can find in this friendly country.

The country is shrunken by regular natural disasters, such as wet season floods, which wash away the whole villages away, Epidemic diseases, poverty and underdeveloped economy, have created a blot on the face of the country.

Education in Zambia is growing at a rapid pace yet has to mend itself in volumes. Earlier, Provision of education in the country was mainly in the hands of missionaries. At the time of independence there were already two education systems running parallel on racial lines; The European and African education. The former included Asians and Coloured. The European schools were well funded and were provided with good learning facilities, and sufficiently staffed with qualified teachers. On the other hand, African schools were in a pitiable condition and was neglected in many respects. They were poorly funded, staffed with ill qualified teachers, under staffed and with poor learning facilities. The result was that Education in Zambia lagged behind in development. It was the responsibility of the new African government to integrate the two systems of education for effective delivery to Africans. Government support is very less leaving the churches and the charities to balance the act.
